2020 Summer Internships
The ICSI Networking and Security Group and the Usable Security and Privacy Group are accepting applications for interns for Summer 2020. Our internships are paid positions, and generally aimed at Ph.D. students actively engaged in network, security and/or privacy research and with research interests that have overlap with the general areas of research of one or more of the groups' staff. Our interests include
- network monitoring acceleration with programmable hardware,
- censorship and circumvention,
- end system measurement,
- online tracking,
- data brokers,
- web and mobile security and privacy,
- machine learning in security,
- in situ home user security studies, and
- algorithmic accountability and fairness.
The deadline for submissions to receive full consideration is December 10, 2019. Applications arriving later than the deadline will be reviewed at our discretion.
Apply by email to summer@icir.org, using any combination of the email body (ASCII text) with PDF, HTML, or ASCII attachment(s). (Please do not send MS Word documents.) The application should include a resume and the name of at least one reference. The application may include a cover letter with information about applicant's research interests and which ICSI researchers the applicant would like to work with (if known). The applicant should arrange for the reference to submit a supporting letter to summer@icir.org via email.
